Pilgrims

I had the privilege of passing through Plymouth the other day. On a scale of one to ten, the weather was an eleven! It was as pretty as a picture by the waterfront. As luck would have it…a parking space was available. Grab the camera…take a shot. There. Done.

The view of the Mayflower is never cliché to me. It’s beautiful in structure and its representation of our history. The tenacity and strength of character of the pilgrims who first arrived on these shores are anchored in this harbor. The sea with its ever changing ways each day is still the same in its character and vista. The ocean’s air and salt spray greats new pilgrims daily as the tourists arrive to connect to our history. There is connectivity over time passing and in going forward at places such as this.

Safe passage and safe harbor have been the standard more often than not here. It is a place not forgotten and is a continuing legacy of our people as well as a tribute to the native population that helped them survive in this new land. With each passing through Plymouth, we acknowledge and contribute to our living history.
The Untold Want
THE untold want, by life and land ne'er granted,
Now, Voyager, sail thou forth, to seek and find.
