‘They say’…the way to the heart is through the stomach! Who doesn't like homemade treats, especially at the holidays? Time seems to fly fastest at
this time of the year than any other. Sometimes the best and most efficient
thing to do for our sanity, rather than running to a mall, is to stay home and
unwind. A day at home making goodies for holiday gift giving may just be just
the ticket….good for your soul, kids, family and the lucky recipients of the
gifts!
I have found a few websites with homemade recipes for gifts from the
heart of the kitchen. They are simple and easy. With beautiful wrappings, they are
perfect gifts for any one and any occasion, not just for Christmas.
Remember to give yourself a gift at Christmas too. The best gift I can
think of is fun and enjoyment in the preparations for this holiday. Simplify your life by removing the causes of
stress. Laugh, smile, turn up the holiday music and don’t be overly fastidious
in the kitchen because an occasional food fight might be the most memorable holiday
gift you give to your family memories!
Lighten up!
Bon Appetite!
