I have been
having a lot of fun lately on the Internet by checking out the live webcams
around the world. Too much free time on my hands, you ask? I think not! It just
seems to be one of the neatest ways to see the world without the hassle of
packing a bag. It’s a lot cheaper too! I mean who knew you could watch penguins
in Antarctica and lambs and chickens in England. BTW…the cameras over Harrods
don’t seem to be working, but feel free to check them out from time to time. Piccadilly
Circus is working!
There is
some logic to my methodology. I did try to find places I have personally been
on vacation, many with other SMFairies. Yes, we as fairy friends have managed
to cross the country and an ocean or two. Good Times!
There is a
webcam for just Christmas trees, starting with the National Tree in Washington,
DC. There are also two webcams in Loch Ness should you care to track down
Nessie on a full time basis. Don’t forget the Grand Canyon….always
breathtaking! One camera is for viewing the Auroras which are quite beautiful
as the northern lights are rare in this region. Hardly a place on Earth is not
under a lens and it’s pretty awesome when you think about it.
Words of
advice… keep video streaming to a minimum by having your media player up to
date and if the picture on the webcam is black, it’s probably night time!
Have fun!
Cathy
