An Educated Palate

We like to think of ourselves as connoisseurs, educated in many ways. When it comes to our palate, some like one kind of food and another prefers something different. The choices are unlimited in this world… sweet, sour, bitter and salty, not to mention hot ‘n spicy!

Yet, when it comes to our life, our day-to-day living, what kind of appetite do we have?

Salty tears of the past? Sour grapes of regret? Bitter words? Sweetness towards others? Hot ‘n spicy for life’s adventures and wanderlust?

One man’s meat is another man’s poison. What works for one doesn’t always work for another; yet we must accept the choices of others providing it nourishes the soul. Ultimately, what works towards peace and harmony in one will work for another.

It’s probably safe to say that we all have a sweet tooth. If this self-indulgence can be extended to others, then all of life will be sweet.

SWEET!
