International Women’s Day

Today, March 8th, is International Women’s Day. This date has been set aside globally to honor women, their achievements and their future goals. This year the theme is “Empowerment of Rural Women” & the “Elimination of Poverty and Hunger”.

It is fitting that this date be a part of Women’s History Month. Each March we have a month-long celebration of women and their legacy.  Speaking of legacies, this year also marks the 100th anniversary of the Girl Scouts; an honorable society and tradition to both the individual and the social circles it encompasses.

Find the best of yourself and share it with a young girl as the guardianship of all women’s futures. It will guarantee the continuity of the feminine spirit.
